Firebase Cost Calculator

Estimate what your Firebase project will cost before you start building it. Firestore, Hosting, Cloud Storage and Authentication, with free tiers and official Google Cloud pricing updated as of June 2026.

⚠️ 2026 update: since February 3, 2026, Cloud Storage for Firebase always requires the Blaze plan (credit card on file), even to stay within the free tier. It's no longer available on Spark at any usage level.
Cloud Firestore
Free tier: 50,000 reads/day · 20,000 writes/day · 20,000 deletes/day · 1 GiB storage · 10 GiB network egress/month
Estimated monthly cost
€0,00
nam5/us-central1 pricing: $0.03/100k reads · $0.09/100k writes · $0.01/100k deletes · $0.15/GB storage · $0.12/GB egress beyond free tier.

FAQ

Is Firebase really free?
The Spark plan is free with generous quotas for Firestore, Hosting and standard Authentication. Cloud Storage, however, has required Blaze (card on file) since February 3, 2026 — even to stay within Google Cloud's free tier.
What happens if I exceed Spark's free limits?
The product is throttled until the next day/month, at no cost. On Blaze, usage continues and you only pay for the overage at pay-as-you-go rates.
How do I avoid surprise bills?
Set a budget with alerts in the Google Cloud console and regularly monitor the Firestore, Hosting and Storage usage dashboards to catch anomalous spikes before they become a bill.
Are these estimates precise to the cent?
They're based on official pricing for the nam5/us-central1 region, updated June 2026. Real prices vary by region, CUD discounts, and different storage classes: use this as a ballpark estimate.
Should I stay on Spark or move to Blaze?
If you only use Firestore, Hosting and standard Authentication under the free quotas, Spark is enough at guaranteed zero cost. If you need Cloud Storage or exceed the quotas, moving to Blaze is required — but staying within Blaze's free quotas still means a zero bill.
